The last 3 goals were all a thing of beauty.

Believe big minute D pairs in playoffs will be Hedman-Stralman and McDonagh-Cernak.
Cirelli on pace to eclipse Point’s rookie year. It is amazing how these two players got drafted so late.
Lightning have the formula. Draft well and fill your lower lines primarily with ELCs and no aging vets.
Difference is, Sergachev's a lazy skater. He doesn't keep his feet moving, whereas Hedman's always been freakishly mobile and active for a big man. So, Hedman may not be the best comparable for Sergachev's development.

I think a lot of people here are missing the point. I don't HAVE to watch the entire game to see some of the breakdowns. As you pointed out quite correctly I only saw 8 minutes of it.
But I never said, we suck defensively in a general sense, just pointing out breakdowns I saw in a critical area of the ice.
I doubt a coach is going to make the team sit down and watch the entire 60 minutes of a game when they only need to show the areas of the game they want to address.
Isn't that what Nigel does? Break down video?

Hey, if you guys want to start a go fund me account to upgrade my cable speed and subscribe to NHL package so I could give a more "informed" opinion I wouldn't hurt my feelings any.

The issue isn’t that breakdowns exist (duh), and it doesn’t validate you that players try to fix their mistakes. The issue is that you are watching one breakdown out of, say, 10 to 15 zone entries. You lack the context for just how much of a problem this is or isn’t. Sometimes you have to give the other team some credit for creating scoring chances. And newsflash — some teams have really good players too.

You’ve made your comments recently after games against St. Louis and Boston, two of the best teams in hockey. But the Bolts dominated those games. Why do you think absolutely no one is agreeing with you in either game thread? After both contests, no one who watched the whole game is complaining about our defense ... except you.

You might want to drop this one, GP. You don’t just sound like some chicken little worried fan, you sound like you don’t know what you’re talking about, and it’s obvious why – because you said you don’t watch the whole game.

Same.
I haven't spent a ton of time just watching Rutta (he hasn't been on the ice a ton, haha); but what I've seen has been decent, on the balance. I wouldn't be at all surprised if he winds up our third pair right sider to open the season next year; especially considering how weak we are after Cernak on the right side, and what the cap space is looking like for next year. Pretty sure Rutta isn't going to be commanding Girardi money next season.

This one is kind of fun.

At 0:58 seconds, all 5 Sharks (pretty good team) on one side of the ice, almost all of them from the boards to the face off dot.
It did not help that Thornton turned the wrong way as he could have prevented that shot.

Disclaimer, I did not watch this whole game either.

You’re just embarrassing yourself at this point.
