![]() Does a deal outside of the current Trop area hinge on tax dollars or would non-taxed bonds be viable?
Can't see anyone giving those out lately with the way stadium deals have been more and more of a drag on city/county coffers and the fact the Rays have zero leverage.

![]() It does, because the Rays say their ability to chip in to a new stadium is limited. Problem with the Rays has always been their ownership, a la the Lightning before Davidson bought the team. It's so much harder when the owner has limited means.

![]() So they're probably gonna follow the Davis model and move the team to a city that will fork over money for a stadium(Raiders to Vegas).

![]() They will be better than people are expecting. Maybe a fringe contender for a wildcard, but I have them at around .500

![]() Interesting, and not what we heard a few days ago. Was told the Rays aren't going to look at this again or decide anything until December.

![]() Talk about robbing someone. Loria paid $158,500,000 in 2002 for the Marlins. Today it was revealed that he received bids between 1.2-1.3 billion dollars, which just so happens falls short of what he wanted.....1.6 billion, which was what he was offered in February before that deal came apart.
And Forbes has the franchise valued at 940 million. 3 groups vying for the team. If Loria wants the team to stay in Miami he sells to Jeb Bush and Derek Jeter. If he doesn't care he can sell to a group with Tagg Romney or he can go with New York-based financier Wayne Rothbaum. If it was me.......I would go with the 2 Florida boys. http://www.thescore.com/mlb/news/127...ins-reach-1-3b |

![]() Very rare triple play last night. There was no infield fly rule called and the runs all failed to try and advance and were caught napping.
