I propose we trade Domingue to Vegas for Ryan Reaves.

Vegas has a solid backup in Subban, so I doubt they would be interested in Domingue.

I do think that the bolts are looking for someone that is physical, has some size, and can play in the bottom 6. My assumption is that they are only willing to go for a 1 year contract for that type of player which is why they were interested in Perry, and why they didn't get anywhere in discussions with Pat Maroon (he probably wants a multi-year deal). I would guess a similar circumstance with Boyle looking for more than one year.

The point of signing the living legend himself is so Domingue can get an opportunity to be a starter again - think VAN, BUF, CLB, etc. Don't expect a huge return for him, either as those spots are limited. This is about being professional and treating players right.

Martel gets a one-year, two-way deal at the league minimum ($700k). I still think that they kept Martel on the NHL roster all season to solely get him in the organization. I'm not convinced that he will actually make the NHL team this season.

Does he still have to clear waivers to be sent to Syracuse?
