Sure hope there weren’t too many extracurriculars during the off day/night in Vegas. I’d prefer if this roadie were flipped and we flew into Vegas in time to sleep and practice for a game the next night and then had a day off in Denver, which would allow for more acclimation to the altitude.

Two years ago, the team dinner was in Vegas 2 nights before the game. Several players, including Tyler Johnson came down with the “Vegas flu” and couldn’t play or were playing only because of the need to get to 20 players.

I remember the Vegas TV announcers saying that their only chance to beat the Lightning was if they came down with the Vegas flu. Sure enough it happened.

Anyone getting the Vegas Flu ought to be grounds for getting scratched or benched IMO. Then again, Coop took the boys to Miami to celebrate winning nothing much at all, so what do I know...

I think the Vegas Flu thing is overrated. They aren't dominating teams at home anymore. And, really, the three days is probably better! Get it out of your system day 1, hangover day 2, do your job day 3.

Vegas sits at about 2000'--big difference, plus the extra day or two of rest. They are decent at home, at 17-10 but as Jason says, nothing like the first year. So we get to see Coleman for us, and they get Martinez. Should be a good one. Root 'em to victory Donnie!

Self-inflicted wounds, for the most part. Quickly correctable, and at least the PP got the monkey off its back.
