Why even be a Blues fan at this point.

Maybe they jinxed themselves with that Gloria song by not realizing the lyrics:

I think you've got to slow down, before you start to blow it.
I think you're headed for a breakdown, so be careful not to show it

This is one of the reasons I suggested we explore trading Stamkos. We had our backs to the wall in the first round, did he step up in the room?

QUOTE “He’s a legend,” Jake DeBrusk said. “I mean, he said some words that, I don’t know if he wants me to necessarily repeat them. They weren’t bad words. I mean, it was just what we all dream about doing. We’re here for a reason and everyone who plays hockey grows up and dreams of playing in this moment, and it was pretty much something around those lines.

“To see him kind of set the tone that way made us want to run through a wall.” END QUOTE

Meh - there are probably inspiring pregame speeches in both locker rooms but they only get highlighted for the team that wins. Most of that rah rah stuff is lost a few minutes into the game / period once the teams get into the flow.

Are you certain Stamkos didn't?

What equal value are you getting for a 29 year old 100 point guy making $8.5 mil, while largely playing with guys like Palat? Ignoring of course that he chose to stay here, and he has NMC. And based on what, your thoughts on what Stamkos might say in a pregame speech? And let me stress what you think he might have said. You have no clue what he said, what he did in the locker room, etc.
