I have a great sense of humor. I have a good laugh at your expense all the time.

How can you not laugh at yourself with the incredible volume of material you provide?

Back to the Bolts plans ... the longer Ferland sits and waits for a contract, the more I’d like to take a flier. Even though the consistency of his year-to-year nicks and scratches (and concussions) is worrisome, if he can be signed at a reasonable price for a relatively short term or even one year, I’d be stoked. He could play anywhere and with almost anyone. He’d be a really nice replacement for Miller. Not as skilled, but more consistently feisty. We need more of that, even with Paquette, Erne, Cernak, Schenn,et al.

I read that the reason Ferland didn't get much action on July 1st was because he is looking for 7M. Yeah, that's going to have to come down quite a bit for us to be interested.

A deal that I think went unnoticed (at least around here) was the 1 year/700K deal Jason Spezza signed with Toronto.

I would love a deal like that for a guy wanting one last shot at a Cup. Joe Thornton, Patrick Marleau, other guys who haven't played for the Sharks, etc.

Obviously, not at the expense of re-signing our RFAs, but grabbing a guy at 1M that could provide extra oomph on a cheap deal. I don't think it would be the worst thing in the world that JBB could do.

We were one of three teams in on Perry, although I guess he’s already won a cup
