I know Batteries Plus will take them.

Short answer is sort of. All metal recycling costs energy. In cases like iron, lead, and copper, the energy of recycling is far less than the energy of refining from ore—donut makes a lot of sense to recycle just about any type of metal. Metals like lithium and sodium are a bit more difficult in that the energy difference is smaller.
Lithium batteries are also a bit more complex. Give me a few days and I’ll give a more precise longer winded answer.

An aside. It makes no sense to recycle glass since the energy of refining and recycling are nearly equal. It’s better to reuse or repurpose glass.

Aluminum is actually an extremely high energy-embedded material and we avoid using virgin aluminum in projects where we’re doing Environmental LCA’s. Recycled aluminum, though, takes 10% of the energy as virgin aluminum to produce.

Pasco County stopped recycling glass a month ago.

Some local governments have stopped recycling as they were losing money. Too many people were recycling the wrong stuff that ruined the good things that we recycle. The #1 thing that messes up a recycle load from your neighborhood is any food packaging that is soiled...…..like pizza boxes that people toss into their recycle bin.

CEO Bill Pulte: Trump changed the 'reality of philanthropy' with one tweet helping combat vett

'...Pulte's comments came after Trump's help allowed him to buy a car for a combat veteran. He initially sent Trump a message on Twitter, pledging to give $30,000 to a Veteran if the president retweeted him.

After Trump did, Pulte said, the donations came pouring in for veterans. Pulte later tweeted a video of him telling veteran Lena Ramon that he had bought her a $20,000 car and had $10,000 in extra money for her after Trump's retweet. ...'

Aluminum is the best. Thanks for the info about LCAs. I used the quantitative calculations from thermodynamics to demonstrate this.

Some digging about lithium batteries, the driver for recycling Li batteries are the other elements such as Cobalt and manganese. I found nothing so far about recovery of lithium.

People also tend to forget that batteries are energy storage units. They don’t produce energy. Unless someone comes up with a “battery” driven by nuclear reactions...

I have a STM who sits next to me. He claims he moved here to escape the Canadian Medical system. His biggest complaint was the wait times and said that he couldn’t schedule a physical for 4 months. I responded, I have to schedule mine 8 months in advance down here.
