The first Schenn penalty was an awful call on what was a perfectly clean hit. Second one was pretty stupid though.

For sure. My point moreso being I’d rather see if Foote looks good and not rely on him.

This was a playoff type game tonight.
I continue to be impressed by the patience and puck retrieval in the O zone--and very few "fancy dan" passes. Bolts were WAY quicker on the forecheck, and it rattled the Jackets D. A crossbar with about 4 minutes left was a beautiful thing

You put 21, 77 and 86 out there and you better not do a casual Werenski skate in your zone, but he did and it cost 'em.

Kuch continues his point streak. Point filled in well (no surprise) playing the PP on the left circle. Another, very satisfying paywinder on the road.

Still got to find a way to get more secondary scoring, and maybe figure out something new on the PP. I would like to see Cirelli on PP1 for a few games.

Not a terrible game overall, but we played a little too loose at times. The only goal against was kind of a fluke play with Cernak breaking his stick, and I thought we held them to quite a few low percentage perimeter shots. All three of our RHD were a little sloppy tonight.

Yanni Gourde is on a 35 game goal drought. That’s almost impressive. It’s like he and Killorn did a Freaky Friday body switch.

Pretty solid game with 3 regulars out. Joseph played smarter and D was solid. Werenski got stripped and you could see it coming. Tomorrow nite should be fun.

Hard to argue for changes with the run the team is on...but have to think he'd get off the snide faster playing with some better linemates.

Yes and no, yes he’d get more scoring chances, but even by accident you’d think he would have scored a few more. He hasn’t bagged a goal since before Thanksgiving. He is on a hardcore cold streak.

My recording didn’t work. Anyone have any idea how I can watch the game? I’d even settle for a – gasp! – condensed game.

The NHL app has the game recaps that are usually about 8 minutes long. Just need to select Lightning as your favorite team and its pretty simple from there.
