I wouldn't do a group, Tim. I'd do a Facebook fan page (you see teams, politicians, web sites and personalities doing them). Fan Page's are better for marketing. You want people coming here, not doing all their stuff on a group.

You also have more control over what shows up -- meaning you can close the discussion area on a Fan Page, post BP's RSS Feed, etc.

Twitter is like sending a SMS/Txt message out to the general population. Little context, little substance, and it's a tool to use if you're at the top and want to speak down to people.

Conversations on there can be great with friends, but most of the time it's just anonymous followers. Gets creepy.

Yeah... but when used by newsy folks it's great to get little nuggets without checking RSS, etc. Just tell me "Lightning sign Fadden [tinyurl]" and it gets out quickly.

I like it for that.

Yeah, when it's use RIGHT with news, then it's great.

How EE reported on Jung and Ward? Wrong. Why? Limited the content to his Twitter post... Never in print / attached to an article (correct me if I am wrong, guys. I never saw it if he had posted this stuff in a blog post or article on May 23rd/24th or later)
