Like Feaster did with big defensemen?
The Feaster-era draft strategy would've been appropriate 5-10 years earlier when Cullimore-type defenders had more value. In the post-lockout environment those big stay-at-homers became dinosaurs. They were looking for guys who were 6'4", 230 lbs. plus guys and the template had already shifted toward the 6'1" to 6'3" 210 lbs. to 220 lbs. mobile puckmover like Paul Ranger, which they hit on luckily in the 6th round.

Less agreement among the staff on the rankings than in previous lists. As both Pete and Chad have said, TBL now has a lot of interchangeable players with little separating them from upside. Stephens, Cirelli, Joseph, Erne, Volkov, Katchouk, and Raddysh all have NHL upside and you put 'em in a bag and draw them out. Each of us have favs of the group. Pete like Stephens. Chad likes Erne. I like Volkov. We all like Cirelli.

One stat I always like to trot out is the Top 5 prospects with the highest standard deviation in the rankings among the 3 staffers:

3.09: Oleg Sosunov
2.62: Adam Erne
2.49: Alexander Volkov
2.35: Alexey Lipanov
2.05: Otto Somppi
