@FelipeCar

Multiple sources have confirmed to @TheAthleticSCCR
that Atlanta United has agreed to terms that will send Pity Martínez to Al-Nassr FC in Saudi Arabia.

Oof.

Number being thrown around is $18million. Not much of a profit on the transfer but maybe they have something else lined up that they needed to make room for?

So Messi is staying with Barcelona. I only heard of this guy because my grandson wanted a soccer shirt as a souvenir (where did I fail) when I went to Barcelona. Most people were wearing that one, so I bought it.

Anyway, the thing I found that soccer teams change uniforms each year, so fans purchase New stuff each year. (Helped me because I bought the previous years shirt for half price - don’t judge, he’s 5, he didn’t know the difference.)

Hopefully, hockey doesn’t go that route.

Pity's been a bust in Atlanta. This is admitting a mistake and making about a $4M profit in the process, which doesn't suck.

It's shaping up as a lost season for United and they may just burn it down to the foundations and let whatever new manager they bring in start from scratch.

Spanish side Sevilla reportedly is preparing a bid for Barco. Atlanta is clearing the decks for the new manager to start over.

I honestly don't follow Atlanta that closely(Orlando is my A team and Miami is my B team) but do y'all really need to blow the team up for a new manager? Seems like you have a solid squad that just needs proper shaping.

They rebuilt the roster for Frank DeBoer to play a more boring, possession-minded style of ball. They probably want to go back to a more speed-oriented, direct style like what they played under Tata when they won MLS Cup. Hence the roster gutting. Pity just wasn’t working out and Barco was never going to stick around more than two years and especially won’t stick around for a rebuild.
