Default Be careful

Yes we need to be very careful, they are really getting frustrated and that means more physical play. We got a little sloppy in the 2nd, so we need to play a hard smart 20 minutes and close these jerks out.

Isles fans all over Twitter calling Callahan a dirty piece of shit. Love the irony coming from Matt Martin's team. Callahan playing a terrific game throwing big clean hits, get over it.

Leddy hates Velveeta, Martin slams penalty box door. Isles are mad and it's funny as hell. Finish em off.

Any chance of getting Leddy's Liquid Gold as a post title or something else memorable? Can't get enough of this xD

Martin is a pretty clean hitter and at least answers the bell when he crosses the line. Clutterbuck on the other hand....

What a dominating win. Like the goal song tonight said, taking care of business! This team is growing up before us.

That was a hammering.

Get Stralman back before the next series and it's seriously on, which I didn't see at all a month ago.

Never go up against Ben Bishop when death is on the line.
Not that he was tested like other games in the series. Utter domination by the Bolts today.

I think a lot of praise also needs to go to Cooper. This guy is just a pure winner wherever he has gone and his line/player matching this series was tremendous. Him matching the Martin/Cizikas/Clutterbuck line with our Paquette/Boyle/Callahan line pretty much completely killed their momentum because our guys returned the physicality. Also kind of interesting how the Islanders didn't run around as much the last couple games when Coop put Witkowski in the lineup. He didn't even play the guy very much, yet the Islanders were well aware that he was on the bench. He very clearly challenged both Martin and Hamonic multiple times in the last two games.

Pittsburgh and Washington are both really good, but if we can get a couple guys back then I think we might be alright. Bishop has been elite when he's needed to be and the team defense has played strong. Boyle has been everything you want from him in the playoffs. Putting him on the PowerPlay has also helped its effectiveness IMO. And well HedMAN should be renamed HedGOD because his play has been that good. He'll have to shut down Ovechkin or Crosby but he did real well against Taveras.

Default Know

The isles knew by the end of the 2nd they were cooked you could see it in their faces they came out in the 3rd and simply could not generate excellent scoring chances nor score against us. Just gotta love this team.

This was the JV side of the East bracket. Anything less than the ECF would have been a disappointment. Now the playoffs really start, and I kind of expect to be playing the Caps despite the hole they dug themselves, but we'll see. Either way, we need guys like Stralman, Brown, and Stamkos to start coming back online. Right. Now.

And Bishop can't be iffy in Game One like he was in the DET and NYI series. They've got to find their top gear now to survive and advance to the Final.
