Yesterday’s line rushes

Palat-Point-Kucherov
Coleman-Cirelli-Killorn
Goodrow-Stephens-Johnson
Maroon-Paquette-Gourde

Hedman-Cernak
Sergachev-Shattenkirk
Coburn-Bogosian

Vasilevski starting.

Cooper said Ryan McDonagh could play on upcoming road trip.

Le Brun: Claude Julien says Tatar will head back to Montreal for further evaluation on his upper body injury. Thinks Gallagher should play tonight. If Gallagher (flu) can’t go, they will go 11 F and 7 D

Imagine trading someone like Sergachev. I'll be shocked if he isn't a top 10-15 NHL defenseman by the time he's 24 years old.

Decent effort tonight, but still could be better.

Kid has taken a massive step forward, which is going to lead to some offseason champagne problems.

Hopefully some postseason champagne consumption, as well.

Sergachev taking on Weber was risky, but I give him lots of credit for having the testicular fortitude.

Missed the game, and I’d rather not see Serge appear on Hockey Fights but I guess I’ll have to watch. Sounds like a very solid win, with Kuch and Heddy denting the sheet.

It wasn't much of a fight really, but he rose to the challenge.

Agreed. But HF posters did give Serge a 67% “win” rating, due partly I think for his takedown. His strength is underestimated. I think Weber thought he’d be a good “statement” scrum, and he was surprised. Good that the big wild right didn’t connect—would’ve been nice if he hit the glass.

Cernak is big, strong, fearless and scary. Sergachev has watched Cernak and is learning the physical punishing game. Both are now not overwhelmed by anyone and I would certainly take either one over Weber in a fight.
