I don’t care for Killorn Pacquette and Maroon. Swap Killorn or Maroon with Gourde for a bit more balance.

They cycle the puck well, but it doesn't seem like they ever get good shots on net. I might would swap Maroon and Verhaeghe. Carter isn't as strong along the boards, but he has a decent shot when he uses it. Our bottom six as a unit hasn't done a whole lot of scoring lately besides the Verhaeghe goal tonight. Shows just how good the top 6 has played.

Impressive game tonight. Islanders win with physicality and team defense, and I thought we matched or exceeded them in both categories.

Isles only had three shots on goal in roughly the final half an hour of play.

Very impressed with the patience, commitment to a game plan, and structure that was on display tonight. Seems it was just a couple of weeks ago some of us voiced concern that the boys get impatient against teams like the Islanders. I thought we were in complete control for most of the game. That’s three Ws in a row against very good teams. Let’s see if it continues at Columbus and at Pitt for a back-to-back.

Default Behind the scenes

I enjoyed Burnsie's article about the video coaches behind the scenes. Learned a few things.
