Default Bolts v Sharks

Don't know why I'm starting this....but

Tuned in the third (a neighborhood beerfest tonight). Needless to say, another impressive third, this time with a 1-0 lead. I watched the NBCCA feed, and they had nothing but good things to say about how the Bolts were handling the 1-0 lead. Curtis Brown mentioned "patience" and an understanding that a "1-0 win was as good as a 4 goal win. Quite different from last year. Their play was more conducive to a playoff run than last year". Cool to hear that from the other side, and gives some confirmation for what we are feeling this year.

Oh, and another Kuch roofer for the second goal, from Point...they marveled at his strength to fend off the D and still get a strong BH under the crossbar.

Another boring, yet so satisfying, paywinder.

The fact that most of our production during this run of success has been at 5 on 5 is the best part. Can't rely on the PP to win you playoff games no matter how good your PP is.

My one real concern right now is outside of gourde I'm not sure I can remember a single player doing anything on the bottom 2 lines.

Hopefully Gourde is just "saving himself for the playoffs" as Fedotenko fans liked to excuse.

They also cried like a bunch of babies anytime a Lightning player breathed on a Shark or if the Sharks took a penalty.

Yeah, the Cernak v Marleau was homerish for sure; they said he cc'd him. Replay clearly showed Marleau off balance and DID touch the puck; Cernak contacted him with arm and shoulder and he hit the boards awkwardly--unhurt.

Other than Killorn, our third line should be our fourth line. And other than Stephens, our fourth line ought to be worried about being replaced or benched.
