Curious to see what, if any, the ripple effect is in TB. I believe TB AGM Pat Verbeek’s contract expires at end of this season and while Verbeek interviewed for GM job in EDM and wants to be a GM, he may be in a position to join Yzerman in DET. Just speculation, for now anyway.

Also, there may be others, such as TB chief amateur scout Al Murray, who may have contractual out clauses triggered by the organizational departure of Yzerman. Not saying there will be a flood of people leaving, just that some may have that option.

Not quite sure why people would want to leave an organization 1. In freaking Tampa and 2. That is much closer to winning a cup than the multiple rebuild years Yzerman will probably need in Detroit.

Unless the organization isn't looking too hot in the inside.

Verbeek I'd expect to leave (he'd probably wind up leaving anyways), but the really concerning one would be Murray.

Sigh. This week keeps getting worse.

Maybe they are in the market for some undersized forwards.

Or offer sheet?

Seriously wondering if Yzerman fires Blashill and hires Groulx though...
