Whoever in the front office didn't recognize Lundin was running into that 70 game plateau needs to be smacked across the mouth, presuming they're not already gone. Even if Torts had stayed, he was wanting Lundin down in the minors.

I don't think Lundin deserves to be in Tampa next season. I think Smaby passed him at the end of the year, and I'm not sure he's better than Niskala either. It royally stinks if Smaby has to take another mulligan based on the waiver rules. Same crap as what happened with Janik last season.

And Lundin is the softest of them all.

Lundin played very good position and made good choices in most cases. He may not have the physical presence of Smaby, but I thought he played very well last year as a rookie.

You're damn right, especially when you consider how worthwhile those last 11 games were.

Default bottom pair

yeah i really liked Lundin's presence and smarts on the ice and thought he did very well considering he was a rookie and was probably being yelled at for every mistake he made. Smaby impressed me with his hitting and ability to move up and down the ice and get the puck. I was under the impression at the end of the year that both would form a pair in tampa this year. This should be very interesting and the competition at camp should be intense, which may be what OK/B want.
