Default 03/24 - Lightning vs. Blue Jackets

Alright, I'm still up on the graveyard shift, couple hours to go, so why not...

7:30 PM puck drop at the St. Pete Times Forum.
TV on SunSports and Fox Sports Ohio.

Yahoo Preview
Puck-rakers -- excellent CBJ blog

For me, it is a game of minced allegiances. Been a Lightning fan for 10 years, so the longetivity lies there. However, since moving to Ohio two years ago, I've adopted the Blue Jackets as my western team -- and it's a different feeling as a fan to actually be able to attend games fairly regularly (8 CBJ games this season... 3 Lightning games ever) and be a part of things.

I'll leave the thundersticks in the closet and simply watch it for the sake of the hockey...

Let me add to Zoe's wicked cool GDT starter that Sun will be your CI feed and here is your NHL Preview link....

I wish some of our explayers were goino to be on the ice tonight but it seems the injury bug will keep us from seeing them play...

For me the biggest question here is can we score a goal.

Mason + Hitchcock = no scoring.

A little on Blue Jackets center and triple-former Lightning Chris Gratton, from DC:

Quote:
Former Lightning center Chris Gratton, picked up by the Blue Jackets on re-entry waivers, said he would have liked his situation with Tampa Bay handled differently. He said he believes the Lightning was hoping he would retire or not report to the minors so he could be suspended and not be paid. Rather, Gratton, who is making $1.25-million, said he went to AHL Norfolk with a good attitude, hoping another team would take a chance on him, which Columbus did. "I was disappointed the way things ended up," Gratton said. "If I was going to go out, I wanted to go out on my terms, not forced into it."
http://blogs.tampabay.com/lightning/...ie-mason-.html

A great attitude for Gratton, and another awful pie in the face to Lawton et. al.

Agreed, the only interesting player was Marty, damn he is good. But yeah this is so bad, and its late so im going to sleep. Knowing my luck it will turn out to be a great game now I stop watching.

Ooh, and there's a perfect example of why Kristian Huselius is the most maddening player on the Jackets roster and one of the most maddening in the league.

Loads of skill, but totally incompetent when it comes to making decisions with the puck.

These two teams should be banned from playing each other ever again.
