Thanks, figured I should do something at least slightly constructive with my day, as my other plans for today are sleeping and eating.

Probably emergency recalls on Lundin and Smaby?

Lundin would have to go through recall waivers right?

TBL said Lundin. Maybe I read JJ's tweet wrong. He said "Smaby returned." I thought Smaby was already back in NF.

I would love to see Lundin get a look tonight. He's earned it, and I think if the Lightning do what they need to do after this season and move either Ranger or Meszaros, it would be helpful for Tocc to get to coach Lundin in a few games to get familiar with him.

Nope, between this season and last season they changed the boundaries on recall waivers, last season Lundin was being paid $105,000 in the AHL, but the boundary before players are exposed to recall waivers was $100,000. This year the boundary moved up to $105,000 and Lashoff and Lundin both make $105,000 in the AHL. Therefore neither would be exposed to recall waivers.

Nice work on the OP; still not clear if this is on Sun HD or just SD??? Tivo listing has college football, while the Sun web site sez the TBL game is on their network. Going to a cocktail party at 7, guess we'll set the DVR for HD and cross our fingers. After seeing so much hockey in HD I'd almost rather read about a game than watch it in "GD" (grainy def).

I would not be surprised if after a few games back Ranger is shopped.

I think we have players in the AHL that can move up with no problems what so ever. Lundin gets his chance tonight (fingers crossed). Ranger could bring in someone that is needed on the front line.

According to DC he won't play tonight and Smaby may have been injuried again.

Don't know who made that Staal in a snorkel pic, but it's hilarious.

Now that we have Hedman, I agree. Hedman changes the entire landscape of the team's defensive needs because he will be a 25-30 minute a night player. So, you don't need three additional 20 minute a night guys in Ohlund, Meszaros, and Ranger. You can get rid of one of them and have a defenseman replace them that is a 15-17 minute a night puck moving guy and it won't be a problem.

Lundin and Mihalik, right now, look like they're on the fast track to join the team next season. Lashoff can get back in the conversation if he pulls his head out of his ass.
