Little more on the building and the overhaul of the team more generally: Working to win back fans

Quote:
There will be new seating, improved sight lines, a monstrous pipe organ, and all other sorts of goodies – along with the lightning bolt. By early next month, Leiweke hopes to test a giant coil that will shoot a lightning bolt across the top of the arena.

I feel like the Lightning bolt will be similar to the epilepsy lights at Philips Arena - probably regarded as cheese by everyone else but very cool for those in the building.

I'm willing to bet you won't even be able to see it on TV unless it's a pre-game thing.

I'd bet that we'll see it on TV, but probably not live.

I would imagine that management couldn't care less what it looks like on television. These upgrades are all about adding to the experience of fans attending, and paying, for games. HD telecasts have hurt attendance of all the major sports, NFL included. The NFL is looking at enhancements for attendees like in house access to conversations between the staff and players during games through a stadium only network.

I don't think so now... After reading the following:

The only thing I can think of now is a tesla coil. I really didn't think they would go that far as to have one on a large scale in there, but it would/will look pretty cool. Google tesla coil and you'll see what I'm talking about and think "oh... one of those! Cool."
