True, but that speaks to benefits for the junior teams and for fans buying tickets in small towns to watch hockey games and for companies advertising to them in while they do it--rather than a benefit for the players themselves. Is it actually good for them, or are they at all being held back in their professional progress so leagues can make money off them and fans can sit on their asses and watch them play at the major junior level instead of watching players not quite good enough to play at the AHL/ECHL level, but still better than most players will ever be in their lifetimes?

Reading this in typed-out words it looks contentious, but the question is really intended just to reflect genuine concern for the players

Kucherov and Korobov have been recalled.

Intriguing. Any injuries that we don't know about, or just slotting him into the lineup? Sounds like Gudas could be headed to IR with Korobov coming back up as well

Think I heard somewhere Malone might be injured. Go figure.

It was bound to happen eventually, Salo can't be the only one we expect to be injured and actually come through.

The most important question: what number will he be wearing? His 86 or more traditional digits?

In the Lightning report they say that both Gudas, who was injured during his fight, and Malone, who took a puck off his foot, are questionable for Monday. Thus the call ups.

There have been many on this board, myself included, that were proponents of trading Malone this summer while he was healthy.

Does anyone have a feel from the org whether that was never considered or if there was no interest? I know he had to submit a list of 10 or so orgs he'd allow a deal to but didn't hear if they tried.

Ryan could still be useful in the right situation but for the Bolts I think he's just clogging up a spot on the Tampacuse express. For instance if he weren't here perhaps we might have kept up Drouin who is torching the Q.

I think it's safe to assume that the organisation looked at their options with Malone.
