You can get closer if you like, there are usually a lot of spots closer to the Forum on Pierce if you're there by 60+ minutes before the game starts. Sure it's dead downtown, but I've never felt threatened.

Yeah, we're actually going to be getting there around 5:30 I think, so Pierce should work then. Perfect. I wasn't too keen on spending $10+ on parking. No metro in this town

The meters have different cut off times. Read them carefully or you will end up with a ticket. I park away from the Forum and they stop charging at 8:00. Others continue until 10 and still others run to midnight.

Erik had tweeted earlier in the week that Dowens would move back to Stammers line to replace Bugsey.

It's electronic payment, just pick maximum & you're set. Not sure where these ones are that run so late, I've never paid past 8 myself and I've parked a few different places.

Whiting seems to be the cutoff for the "pay til midnight" ones, so anything north of that is 8pm.

Heh, they even have a video! mms://av.tampagov.net/Files/parking/Parking-and-How-to-Add-Time.wmv

And that is more than anyone ever wanted to know about parking in downtown Tampa!

I always look for parking meters when I go to games. It's very cheap, easy to get out of and back on the Crosstown, and your vehicle is more visible than parked in the middle of the dirt lots, which I think makes them safer.
