As soon as Feilhaber and Donovan went off, all offensive impetus vanished. We need better options after the obvious ones. Hopefully someone will develop over the next cycle.

I was about to give Mexico some props for beating Spain but they just choked away the game with an idiotic turnover in stoppage time. ROFL..

Oh my.. they almost lost it a few seconds later!

Fifa aims to end draws in World Cup group games

Penalty shootouts after 90 minutes so they don't have draws in the group stage? Are you kidding me? I'd rather see the minnows eke out a win over the powerhouses utilizing a defensive tactic than to see a total crapshoot like penalty kicks decide a winner. Enough talented teams were eliminated this summer who didn't deserve to be because of that format.

As much of a travesty as it was when USA got robbed of the win against Slovenia, it would have been more outrageous to lose that game on penalties.

It's not broke. Is anyone seriously bitching about ties in group stage? I don't care about the idiots here that like to rail on it.

GoUSABid now has a leaderboard for the cities, saving me the trouble of looking them all up again. Tampa is #4, ahead of New York!

Looks like there's more going on with Bradley possibly managing Villa ..

USA coach Bob Bradley confirms interest in managing Aston Villa

I imagine they're keen to look into it since their awful, awful 6-0 loss to Newcastle today.

On that note: Seems like the competition level in the Premier League (although only two weeks in) so far this year is piss. Three 6-0 games already, and a few other routs. Silly.

Aside from Raymond James Stadium where in Tampa would you host the WC? Wouldn't you need 3-4 stadium sized venues?

Pretty first goal for Rafa Marquez.

As far as EPL goes, I think it's just early season jitters. How else do you explain Blackpool winning 4-0 one week and losing 6-0 the next? Granted the second result was far more appropriate.

Blackburn might get bought by a rich Indian guy. He's already making noise about signing Beckham, which is silly to me. I hope they spend more wisely.

No. There will be multiple host cities. Not all the games will be played in one area. Last time the World Cup was here there were games in Orlando, New York, Detroit, Los Angeles, San Francisco, D.C., Chicago and Dallas.

Tampa would likely host first and second round games I would think.
