If the Cubs pull this off at least it was Zobrist to do it. One of the nicest baseball guys I've ever met.

He is very nice and down to earth. He played his college ball with my wife's niece's husband. He had the 2 of them at ever World Series game.

I think the only thing bothering me is listening to Cinderella and underdog stories. This is a team that is like 6th in payroll, was favored in every series, had the most wins, and had a ton of top 5 picks. How in the world is that an underdog? I'm just glad the Cavs had won already because that city would be destroyed.

Yeah they were the best team wire to wire. Not an underdog in the least and it's absolutely incredible the series the Indians gave them, IMO. The only thing working against the Cubs was the curse if you believed it, lol.

Maddon nearly overmanaged his team right out of the World Series. Overusing Chapman until he was running on fumes, pulling Hendricks when he was cruising along, refusing to use more than 2-3 guys out of a 8-9 man bullpen. Always trying to be the smartest man in the room, so he can sit back sipping on his Merlot while the baseball world grovels at his feet.

Congratulations to the Chicago Cubs, and the architect who built them into champions, and who has positioned them to be successful for many years - Theo Epstein. Between his drafting and his free agent signings, we will see Maddon get more opportunities to go deep in the playoffs and show off his brilliance.

No love for the Indians? They have also been waiting a long time and gave a great account of themselves in baseball's best post season in memory.

Is there ever any love for the loser in any sport?
