Do the umpires even enforce the pitch clock? I see it count down to zero but the ump doesn't jump out from behind the plate and say "BALL".

Maybe next year. It’s not a rule at the Major League level yet.

It works in the AAA Reno Aces games. Games are typically 2.5 hrs.

World Series MVP files for legal separation from wife, alleging 'inappropriate marital conduct': report

'Chicago Cubs star Ben Zobrist reportedly filed for legal separation from his wife, Julianna, alleging she “has been guilty of inappropriate marital conduct.”

Zobrist, 37, filed for separation earlier this week in Tennessee and days after he announced he was taking a leave of absence from the team, the Tennessean reported Wednesday. ...'

Rumors were that she really loved a double-header...

I love baseball, was my favorite sport to play until I started playing hockey.

What a tough situation for this young Cub player and a fan.

Default Rays va Best team in BB. Twinkies

So its the FOURTH inning and the Rays are dusting the Twins, 11-0...Watching on Reddit (thanks Hoek!!). Looks like there’s a decent crowd-maybe 15K..

This Meadows is an all star. And Morton is mowing ‘em down. Wait until Glasnow gets back—Snell, Morton Glasnow. Red Sox can suck it..

Oh, and its Staats 4000 game announcing. Good on him.

BREAKING: The Tampa Bay Rays have received MLB's permission to explore becoming two-city team: the Tampa Bay area and Montreal, sources tell ESPN. The plan: Play early-season home games in the Tampa Bay area and finish the season in Montreal.

Michael Bradbum had the same in The Score just now.

This is just nuts. It is crazy.

Who in this area would purchase a season ticket? Part of being a season ticket holder is watching your team make that "push" in the later months/weeks for a play off spot.....but those game will be played in Montreal!

If St.Pete is so bent on keeping them they need to stop dragging their feet. If they want the team on that side of the bay they have got to have a better location.

My vote would be for the Gandy Dog Track property.

But I have seen this before...…..our local leaders on both side of the bay will screw this up royally.

I really hope this is MBL sending a warning shot to those in charge here.

Can't see the players association going for this. Players/coaches would need two home bases and it would be even more difficult for families that have kids in school, doctors, pets, etc...

It seems to me like this is MLB seeing which area will come up with the money first. For Montreal to ever get a full-time team again, they will need a new stadium built. For the Rays to stay in the area, they will need a new stadium that is likely built on the Tampa side.
