Toronto wins in OT.

We're in last again.

Describe that last goal for me somebody?
I was out with a friend on his birthday and expected to be back at like 7:30-8. Instead, I got back with 2:30 left.

Shot from the point bounces off Holmers right pad, no one sees it and the Caps bury the rebound.

Thanks.
I'm not going to say it is totally over, because if they win the next three and Carolina loses three or four, there may be a little hope. But this game certainly pushed us to the edge where they should start getting serious about selling.
Sounds like this is a game that could take a lot of starch out of them, but they do have three full days off.

This one ranks up with another must-win regular season game I attended the year before we first won the division (regulation loss to MTL with the winner scored by Perrault with 17 or secs left) as most heartwrenching game I've ever been to live. Pretty much the same implications.

I thought we had it once it was tied 2-2. I even called the shot right before Kuba fired it. Guess I forgot we have the most anti-clutch team in the universe this year. Talk about a retarded goal to the nth-degree to hand it all back to the Caps mere seconds afterwards. Think there were two Bolts at the point, neither of them pressured Mike Green into doing anything, and then nobody to clear the rebound. Ughhhh..

Should have crashed the net a lot sooner. Kolzig saw the puck too well and got away with too many rebounds.

BTW, not sure if it includes tonight's game but career stats against the Bolts according to Yahoo:

Fleischmann 4G, 4A, 8P in 10 games
Steckel 3G, 2A, 5P in 6 games

I don't know... I think David Steckel must have found an old Peter Bondra jock in the trainer's room...

Pretty sure that one ended as a tie, actually, and Perrault's goal was scored with under 7 seconds on the clock. It was crushing.
