Lightning are terrible at keeping control of the puck in their own zone.

Focus on this team needs to change to playing defense. The goals will come

I say the Lightning need to play better defense and then they lose 1-0.

Played in spurts tonight. Not a good effort overall though.
Ramo was good, although he got a little loopy in the third at times. You can't blame him for the goal.
Islanders announcers, who i like a lot, were all over Lecavalier. I thought they were a little harsh. But I still think he's hurting physically, he's tired and some of his fire is gone because the team is out of it and two of his friends may be gone in a few games.
Deb Wroblewski, the islanders between-periods gal, is smokin. Plus, she knows her hockey. She was very solid with Butch Goring after the game.

I think Lecavalier and several other players have packed it in. They know the season's done.

I also think some guys like Prospal and Hlavac are probably playing harder because they know they're auditioning for jobs elsewhere at the deadline.

I think Holmer has played a bunch because I think he's going to be packaged with Prospal and moved to Dallas for Smith and some other prizes and parting gifts, so I won't get too fired up about the lack of playing time Ramo has gotten in the last month. However, seeing how well he's handled himself in the few starts he's gotten, I'll be livid if he doesn't get at least 50% of the starts after the deadline passes, even if we do acquire Smith.

Prospal and Holmqvist
-for-
Smith and a 1st round pick

I've been feeling a deal like that coming on all week.

.

I think that the Kings own the Star's first round pick... got it in the Norstrom trade.

True. How many 2nd round picks do they have? I wouldn't take Dallas' second because it might not be in the top-60. I'd rather take a prospect like Vishnevsky from them.
