Julien BriseBois talked about Janus and Korobov today:
http://blog.syracuse.com/crunch/2012...y_to_play.html - Janus looking to play in Europe where he can play; likely won't be re-signed but Bolts retain his rights - Sounds like Korobov is penciled in by the organization for Syracuse, and one can only speculate that Korobov knows this and is OK with that. BriseBois saying the Crunch will have 8 really good defensemen. ... let's count them, shall we? there's 19 d-men under NHL and AHL contracts... NHL (8): Hedman, Brewer, Salo, Carle, Lee, Mikkelson, Bergeron, Aulie IR (1): Ohlund AHL (8): Taormina, Korobov, Oberg, Barberio, Gudas, Cote, Nightingale, Landry ECHL (1): Milan QMJHL (1): Sergeev

Only if he intends to come out of college. He loses NCAA eligibility as soon as he signs a contract.

Watch out for Korobov. This guys got all the tools to be a good one.
I look at that d-corps and I think it could be every bit as good as the group that was on the ice against the Marlies in the Finals. Taormina may be a quarter step down from Kostka, but Korobov and Nightingale are an upgrade over Jackson and Aulie, IMO.
