With acquisition of Lee and Commodore to go with Stamkos and Labrie, the Bolts might be the new crazy hair team. When you're 30th in the league in GA, you gotta hang your hat on something.

No that is not correct. According to SFY, we give up a 7th round pick ONLY if the team makes the playoffs AND he plays 15 games. If both of those conditions are not met, we owe nothing.

Is that trade even legal? or does the "Future Considerations" apply to make it legal?

Evidently or the league wouldn't have approved it.

Fredrik Modin was traded from Columbus to Los Angeles with similar terms a couple deadlines ago -- a low-round conditional pick with a nearly unreachable goal (LA winning the Stanley Cup, I believe).

My bad, I was just going of what was posted earlier in the thread.

He only costs us a pick IF he plays 15 games for us, or we make the playoffs. Likely will cost us our 7th rounder, which is a cheap new body.
Either way, a 7th round pick is no big loss.

Yup that's the deal. Duemig asked SY that very question on air today and that is the answer we got. In we don't see both conditions met he's free.
