Default 01/19/2010 - Tampa Bay @ NY Rangers

7:00 PM start time.

The Rags are coming off a big win Sunday over Montreal, which was preceded by three straight losses, during which time the team scored just one goal in the three games.

The Lightning are coming off a big victory in Carolina, led by team captain Vincent Lecavalier, former-Hart-winner Martin St. Louis, and thread-starter The Great Zo.

This man made a GDT and a funny before 6 am, I'm impressed!

Rangers are certainly another up & down team, should be interesting.

For the record, this is not one of those "Versus exclusive" games -- meaning, the entire hockey-watching segment of the population will not be subjected to those Lightning from where ice doesn't exist (except a couple of weeks ago).

I'm pretty sure they make sure their policy never inconveniences the fans of Detroit or Pittsburgh.

Why start raw rookie when team clawing for every point?

That was my argument in another thread but Nitty has looked shaky at times in the last couple of starts so I have become open to the idea. Although, if he was going to get a start, the game in NC would have been a better option.

As a former Bruins fan growing up I will never forget this. This rookie came OUT OF NOWHERE and played out of his skull to defeat argueably one of the best hockey teams ever.

Give the kid a chance. I have heard some reports on him that he is a winner and fights for every win. I saw him in warmups against the Panthers and appeared to square up the shots nicely.

Default Tick

yeah I think Tick gets a start before to long, but wonder if MSG is the best place for that? that environment can be really nasty. but Tick is a gamer and plays hard and he is a winner who does not give up. He does have a passion for the game and to win. whatever happens...Go Bolts.

Tocchet is going to ride Niittymaki. I wouldn't get my hopes up for a Tokarski start, especially while the team is in the midst of a playoff battle.
