Circling the drain. Move Cobb and Longo, get it over with.

Don't they have a nice wild card lead despite their recent slump?

That bullpen has betrayed them all year though

No. They are 3 1/2 out of the last wild card. Lost 8 of their last 10.

The AL sucks this year. Only 6 teams over .500, Rays are one of them at 53-52.

Well this is pretty accurate so far...

Bullpen can't hold leads and getting out-coached a lot. This Yankees series has been a perfect example. Girardi has been coaching this series like a playoff series and Cash is coaching it like a series in April.

It's a shame because this has been the first trade deadline that the Rays have actually been buyers and they have an offense that can put up runs. If the bullpen had any consistency, the Rays would be 7-10 games up in the division right now.

Tim Beckham dumped for a Class A pitcher. Time finally ran out.

Looks like the Rays have narrowed down their stadium sites to 2 spots. The #1 spot is Ybor and they claim that the space is there as developers have been buying up the needed property. They would then sell the land at a very fair price so these developers could score on the property around the stadium.

The other possible choice , #2, is Derby Lane. How ever they say that one is far from being able to be done.

$800 million for a 32,000 seat stadium? What kind of nonsense is that?

Does the $800M include the stadium only, or does it include the development around the stadium? The new model for ballparks like this one is what the Braves did with Suntrust Park, where they built a retail and office district around the ballpark (which, in of itself is fairly generic).

I feel like the 32k stadium should have been in St.Pete, and a 45k stadium in Tampa. Doesn't show a lot of faith in the drawing power of east side of the bay.

I don't have much faith myself. At a certain point folks just don't have the money.
