I will be happy to trade just for a "decent" goalie. No need to throw away the farm for somebody like Miller, I just want a guy who saves unscreened wristers. Or is that just too much to ask?

We might have that in Lindback. If only he didn't get injured right when he was looking good again, we'd have a better idea for sure.

Lindback fresh off a return from a high ankle sprain, if he plays poorly that tells you nothing; and even if he plays out of his mind, still gives us no reason for certainty or confidence for next season. An established veteran #1 is, well, one of those. That's why they're scarce and costly, because they're widely considered a non-negotiable key asset if you're building a solid team right (from net out).

IMHO 'decent' goaltending has gotten us nowhere, even on those occasions when we've had some

Maybe from the Sabres' standpoint. But from a reality standpoint...??? I'll believe it when I see it
Are you sure he didn't spell his name Incarceratedd Bobb?

(Non-Twitter followers, look up HockeyyInsiderr. Or rather, don't.)

I'm nipping this in the bud now: ignore all Stamkos to NYR rumors. K, moving on.

Michael Stuart's take...a fairly short, interesting read

FWIW Poll at the end: 72% in favor of trade for Miller

"Miller is in play" meaning literally nothing than the face value of it. It could mean Miller was put on the table, and Yzerman wasn't interested. I think Yzerman would give Lindback more than 18 games to develop into our number 1 solid guy. Just saying. If Miller was acquired, there would literally be no point in us originally acquiring Lindback. The Miller talk is silly.

Default Silly time

As is the rumor we are trading Stammer to the rags or whatever. I have had a couple of students come see me today to ask about such nonsense, I told them to grow up and join the adult boards by coming here.

Miller being floated as available could perhaps be an effort to intice an offer before the deadline, albeit not too many teams in it are looking for goaltending before Wednesday.

I have to agree with the major pundits out there. Miller is more a summer acquisition than a TDL one... unless the offer is too good to turn down.
