I know a couple people on here follow Columbus a bit. What's the deal with Josh Anderson? Is there a real chance that the Jackets would deal him when he gets healthy? I see his name popping up on all the main sites trade boards.

LeBrun suggests that if the Lightning do anything (and they don’t need to), it will be for a RHD.

Later on he suggests Dumba to Toronto. I still say Dumba to Tampa.

Minnesota would definitely need to retain at 6M per for 3 years after this one.

I'm still curious what the long term plans are for Sergachev. He's played way too well to be your third pair lefty defenseman for the next few seasons, but they haven't shown any real interest on moving him back to the right side.

Not necessary. You trade Dumba or Sergachev over the summer.

Hedman / Dumba
McDonagh / Cernak
Coburn / Foote.

Hedman / Rutta
McDonagh / Cernak
Sergachev/ Foote

Whatever picks you use to get Dumba, you recapture when you move Sergachev or Dumba.

I don't really think moving Sergachev should be on the table. Not with what he's shown in terms of progression this season. I wouldn't be completely surprised if the bolts leave McDonagh unprotected during the next expansion draft with the idea that Sergachev will move to 2LD behind Hedman.

LeBrun mentioned the bolts interest in a top 4 RHD with term again today. Also said that it would be unlikely that we would give up a 1st rounder for a rental.

I still don't know how we would make it fit from a cap standpoint after this season. I do still like the idea of getting Josh Manson from Anaheim (2 years at 4.1M after this season). Maybe Anaheim would be willing to eat some cap for a better return.

Wasn’t impressed with Clifford last night.

Shall we debate Wayne Simmonds again?

This. He's made huge strides this season. The only downside is there are only so many LHD minutes to go around and he isn't better than Hedman or McD. You may be right that McD gets exposed in the expansion draft with the hopes he gets picked up and ameliorates that problem.

Question to people paying closer attention than I have lately: has Serge been good on the right side as well? I think everytime I note how well he's playing, it's been on the left.
