I’ve watched the 2 kids every shift. Koekkoek hasn’t looked bad. He broke up an odd man rush very deftly.

Cernak played real good too. He looked much better than he did at rookie camp. He had 2 hard shots on goal. Positionally strong. He didn’t move a guy away out front and took the penalty at the end of the second but otherwise a nice game through 2.

I should of clarified that my thinking was that he possibly gets traded instead of just saying he doesn't make the roster. I think Koekkoek is a NHL defenseman, but I think some defensive needy team that has shown interest in the past (Edmonton or Ottawa) might make a move for him and put him in their regular defensive alignment instead of in the press box like we would do. Especially if the bolts happen to think that Cernak is a NHL ready defenseman.

I think it's way more likely you see Cernak in Syracuse. I'm not sure any dmen down there are ready to step up. That means we would be in a load of trouble if we have 2 dmen go down. Think it makes a lot more sense to keep Cernak in case we have any injury on d.

Petrovic is just running players now and we have absolutely nobody to make him answer.

Perhaps. But they are so thin at d that I donít see that happening.

Give up a short handed goal.

That was a joke. Nobody skating at all, and Panthers playing tic tac toe in our zone shorthanded.

IMO, Koekkoek and Erne have made the team.

I would think the Lightning won't carry both Conacher and Martel. Probably give Martel the edge at this juncture.

That leaves one spot. If they want eight D, Cernak makes the team. If they go for a more conventional seven D, then either Joseph or Volkov make the team. For my money, bet on Joseph.
