Ultimately, the process arguments that the Republicans are seizing on are just to distract from the fact all their tin foil hat conspiracy theories about "spying" on the Trump campaign and trying to somehow "entrap" them in collusion are utter bullshit. The IG report isn't the scandal... Barr once again outright lying about DOJ work product is. Barr needs to be impeached because, as I've said many times, he's the second most dangerous man to western democracy behind Trump.

NBC catches a number of cadets and midshipmen flashing white power hand signs.

Remind me again how racism will disappear after the Boomers all die.

Don’t you remember marching with Tiki torches chanting anti Semitic pro “real” American stuff.

Neither do I.

Have to put some of the blame for current hate groups on the organizing power of the internet. Hate isn’t new, just more accessible.

Corbyn out.

Too bad he had to destroy Labourís best election chances in a decade with his far left message. Hopefully, the democrats will learn from this debacle.

Donnie is starting from a conclusion and shaping an argument to arrive at it. Corbyn and the Labour Party had to contend with Brexit.

There isn't a single US analog to the politics of Corbyn. The things the American left are fighting for, the Brits already have.

Corbyn and Labour had the combined forces of the Tories and the mainstream media hurling non-stop anti-semitic bullshit at them. The Lib-Dems and Tories are seen as much more preferable to the Labour party by the British elites and established powers. While the MSM has essentially ignored Sanders, I don't think they'll go fully into the tank for Trump, like Britain's media did for the Tories.

The fact that Donnie has stated that he'd gladly vote for Sanders over Trump is indicative that the comparison of Sanders to Corbyn is silly. The Tories and their accomplices in the MSM in Britain had an easier time lying about healthcare and economic justice by simply shifting the discussion to Brexit. Show me the US analog to Brexit and we might could have a discussion.

Anyone considering a vote for someone other than Warren or Sanders at this point should have to explain how they can find the commodification of health in this country to be moral. No one else is offering anything other than protection of the health insurance and pharmaceutical industries. Sanders is the only one with the right idea of power to address the changes we need to make to priorities as a society. Donnie has stated that "We'll never have single-payer". He may be right. That's beside the point. There's motivation and value in simply attempting to do the right thing. If you want to rally millions of people to show up on election day, "Nothing will fundamentally change" isn't the way to do it. If you want 4 more years of Trump, you nominate an addled neoliberal who proudly brags about working with segregationists and tells the powerful who have actively screwed this country for personal profit, "Nothing will fundamentally change".

Millennials, Gen X, and Gen Z voters outnumbered Boomers in 2018. Millennials will outnumber boomers by themselves in 2020. Now it's just a matter of motivating them to the polls, because they typically don't vote with the same drive as Boomers. You won't turn them out by putting up a nominee who polls at <15% with them. Pick the one that has more support among the young than all of the others combined. As a mid 40s white guy, I'm going to give my vote to the candidate who the young and marginalized support. They're the future. Lucky for me, his politics line up with mine.

You asked if I would vote for Sanders or Trump. Iíd vote for a chimp over Trump. The only possible way that I could ever even consider voting for Trump would be if Jim Jordan or Stephen Miller won the democratic nomination and i had a gun pointed at my head and was forced vote for one of the two.

You seriously don’t get it. It doesn't matter how many millennials vote blue in California or New York. Clinton won the popular vote by 3 million. This election is going to come down to 4 states: Florida, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania and Michigan. You win those 4 states and you win the election. Florida is boomer land. Wisconsin, Pennsylvania and Michigan flipped because union boomers voted for Trump. You have to find a candidate that can bring those folks back.

Corbyn and his socialist message lost those working class boomers in the U.K. Those Trump light Bits voted conservative before they would vote for socialist Corbyn. That’s the lesson that you don’t seem to accept. Their safe working class districts went conservative just like our previously reliable northern union states went for Trump.

Everyone accepts that America’s economy is broke. The republicans have done a fabulous job with the message that the way to restore America is to eliminate regulations; that the creation of the rich is great because they are “job creators;” that socialism has never worked and will lead to an economy like Venezuela; and that illegal immigrants are taking their jobs. The people that have fallen for this aren’t real bright (Clinton was right, they are deplorables), and an intellectual argument isn’t going to win them back. Frankly, I’m not sure that there is any path to victory. I don’t know what candidate both attracts the millennials and brings back enough boomers to the fold in those 4 states.

I think it’s possible that the democrat will win the popular vote by 5 million this time and still lose. SNL had it right, the election will be decided by 10,000 farmers in Wisconsin.
