Man, after both teams played so well for most the season, it really became which team wanted the top seed less. Tampa choked away the conference lead. Then Boston got it, beat Florida, and then lost 3 of their next 4 to put Tampa back in charge. Tampa gets the lead, and lose to Carolina, only to have Boston then blow it against Florida (meaning they lost 4 of their last 5). What a weird end to the division.

We can use this as the series thread, right?

Broadcast schedule Only national broadcast so far is Saturday's game.

Nice season!!
Regardless of how it ended, the bottom line in professional sports is the bottom line and the Lightning won it, and deserved it! They were either on top or near the top the entire season.

Now, mission 16W

BTW, Thank you Panthers. Loved seeing the Bruins cough it up at the end.

Since we don't have a general playoff thread, saw this tweet.

So the GOLF Channel (?!) gets back-to-back NHL game fours. Here’s what’s airing in those blocks on other channels:

NHLN: Six hours of NHL Tonight
NBC: Family Feud and local news
CNBC: Shark Tank re-runs
USA: Law and Order SVU/Suits re-runs
Wow....

Copied this off the NJD HF thread
This is one take from their side.

QUOTE
So the Devils are likely looking at:

Coleman - Zajac - Noesen vs. Miller - Stamkos - Kucherov

Hall - Hischier - Palmieri vs. Palat - Point - Johnson

Killorn - Cirelli - Gourde vs. Wood - Zacha - Maroon

I'd imagine Tampa will try to get Stamkos' line out against Zacha's line as much as possible while they're home.

But in all honesty, I like the Devils chances with those match-ups. Zajac's line isn't going to give Stamkos' line any room to breathe and that line is all skill and finesse. Perfect match-up for Zajac's line, IMO. END QUOTE

They also seemed a bit fearful of Kunitz and his playoff experience and mentioned we wont like Coleman by the time the series is over.

QUOTE Playoffs are a different animal. Kunitz is the guy who worries me the most after Kuch and Stammer.

It's kinda funny that teams are STILL sleeping on Brayden Point. I understand them sleeping on Cirelli, he's so green. But Brayden Point is absolutely clutch as fuck and he sweats leadership.

They're worried about Kunitz?! They better worry about Point and Killorn going beast mode. Playoff Killorn is no joke.

During the play offs it is the 3rd and 4th lines that can win you advancement.

Yup, do not over look Killorn and Point.

Kunitz/Paquette/Callahan line has been playing very good hockey as of late and may be the key to this series.

As long as this team regresses back to how they played in our most recent trips to the playoffs they should be golden. So counting on some great contributions from Kucherov, Killorn, and TJ.

I'm really excited to see how Killorn-Cirelli-Gourde play, less so with Stamkos and Callahan. Kunitz is a wild card, have no idea what to expect with him without Crosby and playing lower line minutes
