Apparently Boucher coached Giliati in Midget AAA according to a few Hab fans on HF.

Both Berry and Giliati have their ELC's expire at the end of the season next summer.

Bolts now have 46 contracts including Carter Ashton, with Hutchings, Panik, and maybe Zahn yet to sign.

Bolts also have 29 UFA and RFA expiring contracts at the end of the season next summer.

This is IMHO an ECHL move and Lashoff was not meant to play. He is soft, and his conditioning again this summer was not very good. At the young guns game he was out of shape therefore expendable. The players brought in are ECHL bound and should help that team play a bit better.

who are you thinking of? Quick maybe?

I think Berry and Gilati will battle others for spots in Norfolk and give them experienced depth...It might allow a guy like Hutchings to start with the Everglades, gain some confidence scoring and then move to Virginia..
With one year left on their deals, it's now or never for those two guys so you would hope you get the best you can from them.....I have a friend that used to go to a lot of UMass games, so I'll get a report on Berry..

Lashoff was a 5th wheel for TB. I think it's a good move to get something for him now rather then paying him to not play.

This gives every indication of being a pure and simple salary dump. Salary dumps don't have to always be bad. If you were convinced that this guy wasn't going to play for you and you can save a half million, then fine. We don't know if he was given a specific summer program and blew it off or that there was some other reason to banish his ass to Toronto.

I still think that he should have been given a chance in the new system.
