Hynes' 2nd goal was the impressive one. He came in and put it short side top corner with very little room. Great shot. The 1st goal he was just kind of in the right place (the slot) at the right time (as the puck trickled out just BEGGING to be slapped on net). It was a good finish though. The 3rd goal was kind of a tap-in and didn't blow my mind. He also scored in the shootout with a nice shot low glove. He clearly has some talent and skates well enough. Whether he continues to grow enough to make a difference at the next level is yet to be seen. Not sure how he'd fare against 220 lbers in the corners. Methinks not very well. The nicest goal was on a play that Fadden head faked the defenseman and then headfaked the goalie en route to a cross-ice pass that Tyrell fired into the net from a not-so-easy angle. Nice play all around. We were impressed. If Fadden ever learns to play defense, he has top 6 type vision and stickhandling skills. If he doesn't we can stash him on the 3rd/4th lines someday and put him out there on the PP and get some results. I agree with nhljohnson that he was clearly the best out there with the puck. You could tell the action he got in the AHL this year has slowed down this level of play enough to where he can find open players at will. Let's hope in another year or two there he'll be a PPG type scorer.
