Boo! OK, well give me Morrow then. Perfect grizzled fourth-line guy for us.

Salary arbitration filings are in.
http://www.nhlpa.com/news/20-players...ry-arbitration

23 in all -- 20 player-elected, 3 team-elected.

Maybe 3 years ago. Not to mention our roster is nearly full.
I do love me some Brendan Morrow though. Would love to see Erne emulate a guy like him.

well I stand corrected. bolthed with the premonitions

Vet savy, hard nosed leader. Always admired the guy in dallas. Hope he is able to stay healthy, either way a great role model for some of our younger players.

Just woke up and saw that. Wow. Awesome player, scored one of the biggest goals in franchise history, possibly captain material too ... but that seems kind of expensive.

Amusing: NYR castoffs Brandon Dubinsky and Ryan Callahan both signed nearly identical contracts (though Dubinsky's is an extension that goes into effect next summer).

Would like to see a comparison of NYR's opening day roster last season vs. now

Predators sign Riberio and Derek Roy to 1 year deals. When no one wants to come play for your team, these are the kinds of FA's you have to take.

How bad of behavior problem child is Riberio if the PHX buys you out using a REGULAR buyout and only 1 year after signing a long-term deal (could not use compliance buyout b/c contract was signed *after* lockout).

The Riberio signing would have never happened if Trotz was still coach.

In other news, Paul Ranger leaves TOR to go play in the Swiss league -- the league where all ex-Lightning players are required to play at some point in their post-Tampa career. Norse mythology has their Valhalla... Lightning mythology has the NLA.
