I think his wrist is still bothering him. He took a shot off the blocker hand during the shootout, dropped his stick, and looked a bit hurt and took his time picking it back up and holding it again. But maybe overanalyzing.

Yeah, shootout shot hit him in the thumb/wrist and the stick torqued out of his hand. That's when he crouched and looked hurt.

He's still clearly bothered by that wrist.

Oh perfect, just in time for playoffs! Tell you what, hockey gods, fricken get it over with, end the phony charade...just send a giant "lightning" bolt and kill us all now...quit farting around already, we know you hate us.

Just kidding (sort of), but come on!

Regarding the suddenly resurgent power play that is clicking at 33% during a 5 game PP goal streak that has seen recent additions of Stamkos, Callahan, and Palat, and subtractions that include MSL..

“Before we were a little bit more of a perimeter power play,’’ Cooper said. “Now we’re more of a junk-yard dog power play.’’

I think it is better to learn the "dig the puck out in the corners" type of plays then the 100% skill/finesse...especially when the skill part can be easily thwarted with all the grabbing/holding teams do on us. Callahan has been the direct result of ton of the grinding plays that fed it to our finisher's. Totally different aspect then what we are used to seeing in TB.

He definitely is, which is a bit scary.

Overlooked factor, IMO... huge addition by subtraction.
