Default Movies 2014

Saw the Wolf on Wall Street. 190 minutes long and 506 f bombs. That's just under 3 a minute. I thought the movie was awful.

Also saw Frozen over the Holiday's. It was very good.

Hoping to see Lone Survivor tomorrow.

I thought Wolf of Wall Street was ok. Length and dragging 3rd act brought it down for me. I didn't think it was the 'Greatest Movie of the Year' as some were claiming it to be.

I was hoping to see more of how he built his "empire" and swindled his clients followed by how the FBI investigated him and took him down. There was very little of that but instead you saw how he partied, did drugs and had sex all the time.

If they would have ended it at his 'speech' I would have given the film a better rating but they didn't and that last hour just drug it down for me.

Also, Desolation of Smaug is decent but I would recommend waiting for it to come out on home release or VOD. Crazy long and you can feel it in parts.

Heresy! All this means is that the original LOTR should have been 9 movies at 4 hours each.

I saw Smaug and wished it was another three hours... so I don't have to wait another year before seeing Bard get his chance to make right for his granddad's imperfect aim.

Got "Captain Phillips" form Redbox over the weekend. This had to be the best performance by Tom Hanks ever. Just a great movie.

Best movie I saw last year was American Hustle. Then again it may have just been Amy Adams and her outfits.

Still looking forward to this one.

As for the Hobbit, did this not strike anyone else?

It's the eyebrows, I think.
