Brown won't want to stay here in a lower line role for the money he would have to take for that role, no.

If those 6 can really push out what we have (Connolly, Panik, Brown), that's crazy good.
Some of those guys you might consider as placeholders for future trade, UFA, or draft acquisitions, in fairness.

Let's be honest: once this reaches a critical mass and the cap goes up, Yzerman will garnish with 1-2 year veteran rentals.

So basically we have too much top-end prospected talent.

Too much of anything is a bad thing. At least our picking is ripe and we have a bountiful of players to play around with.

My projection is Drouin and Stammer are locks for the first line, and Kucherov and Names...are locks for the 2nd. I was making a list and accidentally left out half the talent we already have (Killorn and Filpp). So my gut is telling me we are going to package our plethora of forwards for a 1rst and 2nd line defenseman to anchor down our blue line. Regardless of how you roll it, its looking realllll niceeee

They have loads and loads of talent. Yzerman can use those players to move up in future drafts to acquire more high-end skill to keep this thing going. I don't think he rushes guys in the future like he has this year unless there are injuries. I think he sticks with 5 year contracts as a max except for Stamkos and he keeps the salary cap nimble. They're built for the long haul for sure. It's fantastic.
