I guess the only question is... Why isn't kucherov on the pp unit? He gets at least a breakaway a game and accounts for most scoring chances on whatever line he is on.
Lest we forget, our best D is also not suited up!!! Its given Y and Coop a chance to evaluate 55 and 8, but thats about it.. Hedman plays huge and important minutes and he makes anybody on the ice with him a more productive player.

Kucherov is awesome. He's dangerous every time he's on the ice, and he plays better defense that Barberio and Taormina. Put him on the PP!

Yeah, on a PP where nobody moves or shoots the puck, I haven't figured out why you wouldn't stick him out there for it.

And to give the puck away, right in front of our own next...

The ref made a mistake. There should NOT have been a delayed penalty. It should have been instantaneous. It is possible that he didn't "see" the net was empty I suppose, but in the end they got it right.

I'd like to add how cool it was to have Datsyuk neutralized so much of the night by Gudas. That fellow is really learning the NHL game. He reminds me very much of a former Red Wing from '97 Cup team: Vladimir Konstantinov. Now THAT guy was amazing. Something like +60 and he NEVER cared who he was playing against. The opponents were ALL targets to him. Every team in the league hated to play against him.

I think Gudas may be developing into the same kind of player.

My point exactly...the instant the foul occurred, the goal has already been scored automatically, so play is dead at that instant. At least this was one official brainfart that was without consequence--a rarity

He's the Czech Scott Stevens. I think that's who he is becoming. He's that same size, gronky, hits everything that moves, hurts people, doesn't give a f' who you are, etc.

I love how he just gets up in people's faces, lookin' ugly, and dares them to retaliate.
