What, this is new? We have less than no grit on defense.

On Palat, agreed, dude is getting better every game and has earned that top pairing spot.

From Elias: Martin St. Louis had only two shots on goal in Tampa Bay's game against Ottawa but he scored on both of them to lead the Lightning to a 3-1 win over the Senators. It was St. Louis' first multiple-goal game in which he scored on every one of his shots on goal since a two-goal game against the Bruins on Feb. 11, 2010. He had 13 multi-goal games in the interim.

Any team is likely to be toast if hit with enough injuries. Make it their best players, and it's a virtual certainty. I just hope and pray Marty and Ben stay healthy to keep the season interesting

If Brown did injure his wrist, that's no excuse to stop moving his feet. The first few games after he was called up, he was all over the place - I want that guy back.

Damian Cristodero ‏@LightningTimes

Cooper said Hedman will be out a week and be day to day thereafter. ... Expect Brewer and Gudas Saturday vs Jets. ... Labrie not cleared.

Obviously the ones doing the actual suffering are the injured players and their families. That key point made, to be a Tampa Bay sports fan is an ongoing exercise in futility and trudging through adversity, punctuated by the rare championship just to remind us of what would be possible, which we're instead typically missing out on. I hear Sisyphus wears a Bolts jersey, Rays hat, and Bucs receiver gloves for a good grip on his boulder.

Go Bolts, get well soon everyone

My hope was that Rick Scott would notice this bullet train and use his high speed rail death punch to derail it Alas, he must be too busy preparing to lose reelection.
