Not nearly as big of a deal as when the Flames got to jump the line for...flu shots I believe it was?

Big hockey news out of Chicago.............. Jonathan Toews sold his condo. I don't know which is bigger news, this or Sid getting to cut in line at the DMV.

As for why Sid the Kid was allowed to jump ahead of everyone, DMV employees have the ability to let anyone who might cause a disruption go to the front.

Crosby in an office with lots of Pittsburgh sports fans and potential starstruck teenagers alike? They’re fortunate the line to get into the DMV didn’t go down the block. As for the rest of us who still have to wait in an interminably long line, we’ll be over here seething with jealousy.
Like any big star the guy's used to leaving a trail of people doing that

Note to self: Next trip to DMV, threaten to cause disruption, go to front of line

I'm so glad our players don't have to live in a media market like that.

This thread makes me wonder how any really big megastar in the public eye ever gets their DMV or similar chore done. Can you imagine, I dunno, some fool like Snoop-P-Diddly Doggy-Doo or Justa Beaver boppin' into the local DMV office to get tags for their latest Bentley or whatever? Pandemonium would instantly ensue, all work instantly coming to a screeching halt. These people have to get hustled in the back way...people wait in line for them, not vice versa, thanks to the cult of personality (one of the best one-hit-wonder hits of all time BTW, IMO...)
