Nice refresher on the Conn Man.

His 2 goals vs Calgary in game 6 were awesome.

Also, his "assist" on Fedotenko's first goal almost looked planned 8-)

Odd watching guys no longer playing for the Lightning talking about a guy that no longer pays for the Lightning.

The record that may never be broken (along with Bill Mosienko's) is Richards' inconceivable string of 33 games in which, if he scored a goal, the team did not lose in regulation. For an entire season. Every single game in the 2003-04 season plus playoffs where he scored.

Then to combine THAT little feat with no fewer than SEVEN GWGs in the playoffs makes Richards a candidate for ultimate clutch player in NHL history, at least for that one season. Of course, IIRC that same season 40% of Fedotenko's goals were GTG or GWG. Amazing what can happen if you pack together a few guys who can perform in the clutch

It set up Fedotenko's goal but Vinny undressing the Calgary D and taking a big hit to set him up in game 7 is up there for me as one of the best plays I've seen. During that second period it seemed like Vinny's shifts kept getting better and he was going to do something before he made that play.

04 ECF in Philly, Vinnys rocket from long ways out, I believe it was from or around the blue line to either keep the lead or break a tie. Just a blast.
