Cooper and Bowness: complementary coaching styles?

Bowness wore the white hat with pride in Vancouver, and on the few occasions he donned the black one, it was often quite comical because it didnít fit his nature. For him, a pat on the back to a struggling player was more preferred over a kick in the butt.
Wonder who'll be the butt kicker then

Default Both

Probably both will kick butts when necessary. Butt kicking does not always work, there are other more efficient ways to motivate your athletes. You just have to take the time to analyze your athletes. Positive action is always better than negative action and you have to know when to use either and have a couple of leaders who will provide help in the room to motivate. For me it is all about respect, you respect the game, yourself and your teammates and put out the maximum effort every time, mistakes are part of the game you want to minimize those without making your players afraid to make a mistake...which ultimately causes more mistakes.

#NYR expected to name Dan Lacroix as assistant coach today to complete Vigneault's staff. Former Ranger LW was ass't at TB last year.
