Rumor...Hedman+#3 overall for Erik Johnson and #1 overall

I might need to tap out draft day. If any of these awful rumors come true I'm going to throw up.

I could live with dealing Hedman, but only close to straight up for the #1 and without the #3 pick, keep Drouin and Mackinnon together...and then deal Connolly/Panik/the kitchen sink to reinvent our defensive line.

Jones won't be where Hedman is until 2-3 years down the road(possibly longer because Hedman was an absolute beast to start the year).

I'd rather keep Hedman and run the odds on getting Jones at #3.

Yeah, Avs fans are not a fan of the deal, they actually said we aren't giving enough... It's only two spots, do they think they should getting Stammer for?!?!?

Hell, there is already a outside chance they'll land Vinny, do they want all,of out centers!!!!

I was actually suggesting we draft mack+drouin if we are willing to deal hedman. Id prefer to not trade him at all and try to add jones to the mix. We have plenty of offense

Avalanche fans would drop a million Mentos into the Pepsi Center just on the outside chance it would blow up.

Q: In a draft year this deep, does it really make sense to trade up when you're already at #3? Is jumping those two spots that intensely important? I'm guessing no?

It doesn't, SY can get maybe the best player in this draft at 3 without moving his best defenseman to move up two spots.

Unless you like Monahan, Nichushkin or Mantha better and you want to trade down to get more picks or players. Otherwise you dont move.
