We can call him the fluffer nutter.
We were bitching about the stick as defense back when Craig Ramsey was here with Torts.

I think the fact he was coming off a lower body injury affected his decision making there as well. He might not be completely recovered from it. I've seen him dive head first to block shots before.
You're probably not wrong about his injury affect him at the end. It's what I attributed to his terrible 1st. I just think Wash played their PP well enough to warrant a goal. When they scored, I wasn't surprised just because of how they were running it.

Well that was a decent third period, and a nice play by Teddy "Clutch" Purcell to score in the final minute again, capping the comeback. Losing in OT takes the fun out of it, but the effort was there and it was entertaining...for 1/3 of the game.

Hey, look on the bright side....at least there was no idiotic shootout

Yes - but you were not sent to the bench or scolded for hitting someone or getting in a fight. That has been the norm with Boucher. He needed to adjust refused and has been moved.

When, specifically, did this happen?

That's what I'm wondering too. While I'm sure Boucher didn't pay too much attention to that side of the game I don't remember him actively discouraging it. Certainly not the way Torts used to with Andre Roy.
