Half his team is in Tampa and Syracuse still has the most points in the AHL. Most goals in the league by far, too. TJ probably would've been AHL MVP if he stayed down. Now? I wouldn't be surprised if Connolly wins it. This is a year AFTER Conacher wins the hardware.

Anyone who thinks he's not getting an NHL gig somewhere next season is high, and the more his kids keep kicking ass in Tampa, the more I am convinced that NHL gig will be with the Lightning.

Back from the game and the kids are all right, dammit! They were fast, exciting and injected some energy into the building. Gudas is a presence out there, something I wish Hedman would be with his size. TJ is super fast, and with Conacher, and even Tyrell, I heard Chief call them "gnats" in the postgame, and the Staals kept trying to swat them away. Stammer came close a few times to getting #200, and got to really give some kudos to Garon, who made some really good saves in the 1st, didn't give up any softies, which in turn would have deflated this teams self esteem and confidence. Great time was had by all!

They moved him down to the third line. The only alternative left is to sit him and play Lee.

Not to be my usual debbie downer self, and I do like the new kids mind you.

But 3-8 in the last 11, with the 3 wins coming against a "rolosonesque" Hedberg, and two 3rd or 4th string goalies? Not exactly a look on the bright side.

Get a better idea against the Flyers and Maple Fleas.

Just curious, do you follow the Chiefs or are you from Spokane?

Obviously from my avatar, I follow the Seattle Thunderbirds. I always root for the WHL boys. I remember seeing TJ and Tik playing against the Birds.

Right now I'll take any sort of hope for salvation I can get. At least we're beating the teams we're supposed to beat now.

That's what everyone's been doing when they beat those teams, and then reality comes crashing down the next time they play.

Seeing the young players like Gudas, Johnson, Palat and Killorn have such a quick and significant impact is worth getting excited about regardless to the overall result of this season.
